Green Eyes : Kym Hansen
Right now Kym’s work is being shown only at the Ferndale Arts Gallery. Doing most of her work in the winter, summer is her slow season for production, when she helps her husband with his airbrush art business, selling shirts and banners. Her wall at the gallery is looking a little sparse these days, and she’s hoping to do some drawing later this month. Kym’s main subject matter is animals … birds, cats, dogs, you name it. When I saw her working last, she was doing a series of fruits that was exquisite. She has the ability to see the life of her subject and get it into the drawing. Her apples look good enough to eat!

Drawing her whole life, Kym usually works from photos that she’s taken, or her friends have taken. She accepts commissions for pet portraits or special projects of wildlife.
