Ferndale Farmer’s Market

June 5th – October 30, 2010 – Saturdays

Certified Organic Farmer’s Market

at Main and Shaw Streets

ArtichokesCorn, Bell Peppers, Melons

A great source for fresh veges from Camp Grant Ranch and other local area growers, with a nice variety of fresh herbs, baked goods from the Loleta Bakery, free range lamb and fresh chicken eggs from She Spins For EWE in Rio Dell, live plants (perennials, shrubs and a few trees), along with wool yarns, tools and some hand knitted items, also from She Spins For EWE. One can get hooked on fresh chicken eggs very quickly, so beware!

Julia Roper, with horticultural plants from Forest Lakes Nursery, told me that her hostas with flower buds did NOT get eaten by the snails. This means that they are definitely snail resistant. Not completely immune to snail damage, but the snails seem to choose a lot of other things before munching on these particular hostas.

Just so you know … it’s all available at the Ferndale Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, June – October.
